Forensic Video Analysis
Forensic video analysis is the scientific process of examining video footage in order to obtain legal, court-admissible evidence. Video surveillance and CCTV have been in use for decades but have often failed to yield solid evidence. However, in recent years both security video technology and forensic video software have improved dramatically. Gains in the quality of security footage, storage capacity and computing power, along with improved techniques and tools for forensic analysis, have galvanized forensic video evidence as a reliable asset for establishing identities, timeframes and events.
TCS' forensic examiners are experienced in evidence acquisition and use only court-validated operating procedures to maintain a proper chain of custody. Our forensics lab is fully equipped to analyze any analog or digital video formats using techniques such as format conversion, demultiplexing, clarification, stabilization, rotation, repositioning, enlarging, highlighting and noise filtering in order to provide evidence that is clear and admissible.
